Maren is an accomplished and dynamic attorney known for achieving positive results through a winning combination of tact, litigation expertise, and persuasive negotiation skills across a broad spectrum of legal settings. Her practice spans civil, family, criminal, and probate courts, as well as administrative hearings and educational institutions at both K–12 and higher education levels.
With a deep academic foundation—holding a J.D. from Yale Law School, a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. from Bryn Mawr College—Maren brings both analytical reasoning and practical experience to every client matter. Her legal career began in Boston, where she served as a prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney, and a litigation associate at a major law firm. Since relocating to Connecticut, her work has focused on education, family, juvenile, and disability law, with a particular emphasis on mental health-related discrimination and ensuring access to services in the least restrictive environments.
